Construction calculators

Purpose-built tools for early cost and material planning, with formulas and limitations shown beside every result.

Cost & quantities

Grey structure cost

Estimate covered-area cost and major material quantities with city, quality, storey and custom-rate options.

Calculate grey structure cost

Concrete materials

Concrete & cement

Estimate wet concrete volume, cement bags, sand and crush from slab dimensions and a nominal mix.

Calculate concrete materials

Reinforcement

Steel / saria weight

Calculate round rebar weight using bar diameter, count, length and waste allowance.

Calculate steel weight

Masonry

Brick wall quantity

Estimate bricks for a wall after openings, mortar volume and waste are considered.

Calculate brick quantity

Choose the calculator by the decision you need to make

Use the project-wide calculator for an early budget. Use a material calculator only when you already know the relevant dimensions. A material total is not a structural design and should not be used to choose slab thickness, bar spacing or concrete strength.

How many bricks are needed for this wall?Brick wall quantityNet wall dimensions, actual brick size, bond and opening deductions.
Residential floor plans being measured before choosing a construction calculator
Start with the drawing revision and measured area; calculator choice comes after the quantity basis is clear.

A practical estimating sequence

  1. Freeze the drawing revision and write down how area is measured.
  2. Separate quantities from rates so either can be updated without hiding the other.
  3. Reconcile concrete, reinforcement and masonry subtotals with the project-wide allowance.
  4. Record waste, tax, delivery and contractor-overhead treatment.
  5. Ask a qualified local professional to review safety-critical quantities and specifications.
Cement, reinforcement, brick, sand and aggregate used in grey-structure estimating
Material calculators are cross-checks for measured work, not substitutes for drawings and specifications.

This sequence mirrors the logic of formal procurement documents: drawings, specifications, schedules and quantities work together. One headline number cannot replace them.

Engineer reviewing concrete and masonry work on a residential grey-structure site
Calculator results should be reconciled with inspected dimensions, accepted materials and documented site work.

Sources and verification

  1. Pakistan Engineering Council — Bidding Documents ImplementationOfficial context for project-specific tender data, schedules, specifications, drawings and bills of quantities.
  2. Pakistan Engineering Council — Standard bidding document for civil worksContract-document context for rates, risks, contingencies and Bill of Quantities pricing.
  3. Pakistan Engineering Council — Building Code of Pakistan 2021National building-code context for safety, administration, structural work and the authority having jurisdiction.

Sources establish the technical context. Calculator planning assumptions remain separately labelled and should be checked for the specific project.

One calculator covers every plot size

The main cost calculator accepts any marla or kanal value and lets you select the conversion shown on your project documents, so the same method works for standard and non-standard plots.
