What we can help with

Send calculation errors, unclear wording, broken links, source corrections, accessibility problems or suggestions for a focused construction-planning guide. Useful reports are specific enough to reproduce.

For a calculator issue

  • Name the calculator and page URL.
  • List every input, selected unit and option.
  • Copy the displayed result and show the result you expected.
  • Explain the formula or source behind the expected value.
  • Mention browser and device only if the problem is visual or interactive.

For a content correction

Quote the disputed sentence, explain why it is incomplete or wrong, and include a primary source where possible. We prioritize errors that could affect calculations, safety interpretation or project cost decisions.

A report we can reproduce

For example: “On the concrete calculator I entered a 10 ft × 12 ft rectangle with 0.5 ft thickness. The geometric volume should be 60 cft before any allowance. The page displayed [your result].” Include whether waste was selected and attach only the relevant, non-sensitive part of a screenshot. This separates a unit or allowance misunderstanding from a calculation bug.

For a price-source correction, include the source date and say whether the number is an asking price, index value, contractor offer or completed transaction. A changed listing alone does not establish a new market average.

What we cannot provide by email

We cannot design reinforcement, approve drawings, certify work, select a contractor, issue a project quotation or replace a local engineer, architect, quantity surveyor or legal adviser. Do not send payment information, identity documents, complete confidential drawings or other sensitive project files.

How the form works
